He claims to not respond and then responds? lol

Just another way he lies to the public. I rest my case.

Have fun john I know your busy sending out emails to get people to bat for you.

I on the other hand have a life and when this stops being so amusing I will stop responding.

Till then the entertainment value of this thread alone is worth my time.

Good day.

Re: The Promised eBay Negative Feedback Post

Tavita,

At this point, it's not about whether or not your version of the facts are the truth or not. At this point, it doesn't even matter if you're right or not. It's not even about your ability to handle any fallout. Amusing as this may be for you (and I truly doubt this to be the case), isn't this more about putting an end to this for you and trying to do the right thing in life? If you made a mistake, what's so difficult about apologizing, adjusting your bahavior to prevent similar future mistakes, and otherwise trying to 'right the wrong.'

Tavita, if I were involved in an ebay transaction and the person on the other end had received thousands of positive feedback comments and not one negative feedback comment (i.e. 100% rating), and if the thought crossed my mind- FOR WHATEVER REASON- of leaving negative feedback for this person, I simply could not bring myself to doing such a thing. There are numerous reasons for this, least of which is because since no one knows everything, the possibility exists that the one who's actually wrong is me. This wisdom combined with the fact that feedback can't be removed after 90 days (I believe) would in and of itself- regardless of the facts of the dispute- prevent me from leaving negative feedback. Since it's reasonable to believe that anyone with a track record like John's is him/herself reasonable, honorable, dealing 'in good faith,' and otherwise trying to do the right thing, even if I had a one-time transactional issue with this individual, I would certainly not want to be the one to leave the first negative feedback in thousands of transactions. I would feel guilty about it, even if I truly thought I was right. Plus, even if I didn't feel guilty about it shortly after the transaction, I would recognize that by the time I might just come around to regretting having left negative feedback, the deadline to retract will have passed and I wouldn't therefore be able to 'right my wrong.'

So, Tavita, I appeal to you to let reason, not emotion prevail here. Entrenched in your 'position' as you might be, I appeal to you to understand that weeks, months, and years might elapse before you realize a mistake on your end was made; however, by then, it'll be too late. And finally, I appeal to you to do what might in the moment be difficult, for in the end, you'll be able to look back at this situation without any regrets. Finally, I appeal to you to...well, to appeal to your own reputation and pocketbook. As such, do the right thing, and even if you can't bring yourself to admit any wrongdoing, please still take a step forward by retracting your negative feedback and let's all agree that all of us- including you- would prefer to move 'onwards and upwards' to making good, to solving bigger and more important problems, and to otherwise making this world a better place! Fair enough, Tavita?

She's like the neighbor you really, really wish would just move away

Tavita:

I am starting to think the name "Tavita" may be from some ancient language that loosely translates to, "buyer beware."

Interesting that you've chnaged your handle to "supreme." Too bad that hardly describes you.

Perhaps you should change your name to "unwanted."

You are rude, condescending, and small minded.

You haven't come here for entertainment--you've come here to see what a stink you've created. People like you enjoy stink, and it probably follows you wherever you go.

Don't kid yourself that John has some sort of "portable army" of mindless supporters. I haven't even had contact with him in probably a couple of years. But I do know this: he's as decent as they come.

Clearly, you revel in attention, Tavita, or whatever your name is. You'll get some attention I'm sure, but it certainly won't be favorable.

It's also pretty obvious that your self esteem is fluttering in the wind based on your posts. Maybe if you'd rework your character a little better, you wouldn't have to use confrontation as a tool to build yourself up. Doesn't work.

Maybe you should talk all this over with your therapist and try to get a rational take on things. I'm actually surprised they let you near a computer unsupervised.

"THIS IS OF GREAT QUALITY AND BEUTY." (yeah, right Tavita!)

I just went back to the item listing, and blew up the picture very large to have a better look.

IT IS TOTALLY A PIECE OF JUNK!

Your description is a joke:

"THIS IS OF GREAT
QUALITY AND BEUTY. THE PICTURE DOSEN'T DO IT JUSTICE AND THE
FLASH MAKES IT SEEM A LITTLE BEAT UP BUT i CAN ASURE YOU IT'S
NOT."

And this gem:

"I WOULD RATE IT'S CONDITION AS EXCELENT."

That is clearly the crudest, junkiest piece of homemade trash I have run across on ebay in ages.

Honestly, you should be ashamed of yourself for describing it that way.

Folks, have a good close look at this "thing:"

Well will wonders ever cease?

ph has done what john should have probably done but chose not to do. Why I don't know? Perhaps because he was so interested in making a profit on the resale that he didn't take time to blow up the picture.

Personally I have replaced the item in my collection and it looks great between my P&L dove pan and P&L phantom tube.

Like I said before one mans junk is this woman’s treasure.

Hope you all sleep well, as I sure will.

Perhaps John, like millions of people, has an older monitor, and must rely on HONEST descriptions to get the full picture. That would normally work out just fine, except for the fact that your description was plainly DECEPTIVE.

You KNOW you were deceptive. Trying to pass a piece of absolute junk off as a "thing of beauty" and in "excellent condition."

Really...putting that piece of garbage next to a P&L dove pan would be like putting a Paint by Number next to a Picasso. Of course, you realize that and are simply showing your ugly, cynical colors with such an absurd comment.

Sorry, I won't fall for that. I know idiotic comments when I read them.

Rest assured WE will sleep great tonight, because you got the roasting you so rightly deserve.

You can expect more of the same, I am sure, so toss and turn, Tavita.

But most importantly, your ebay activities will be watched like a hawk, thus assuring that others will be made aware of your past conduct before they even think about patronizing you.

Time to take up a new hobby, Tavita...perhaps as a manure broker. You already seem to have the aptitude.

Tavita,
sheeesh. I have had MANY unsatisfactory Ebay transactions that make your experience easily forgetable.
Out of all of them...I never left a negative feedback...just to avoid reactions/feedback like yours.
Please seek professional help. It will do you good.
Chance Wolf

PS. Of course you should expect a huge amount of folks going to bat for John. After all, he is the Godfather of the Ebay Magic dept.
...now do what's right and kiss his A...uh...ring emoticon

Re: The Promised eBay Negative Feedback Post

A few months ago, a fellow Magic Ebayer contemplated what would happen when Flinner gets his first negative feedback.

I guessed it would result in a Magicians Y2K.

As soon as I saw the posting, I went out and purchaed a generator, a sack of rice, a case of span, a water purifier, a rifle and a bible.

If Mendoza is the Magic Godfather of Ebay, I would like to consider myself, maybe the Son of The Magic Godfather of Ebay (Michael, not Fredo). (Ebay ID: mracewillie.)

When buying from Mendoza, you can be pratically guaranteed three things...

1. You will be paying "Full Boat."
2. The product will be exactly as describled.
3. Any issues or concerns will be addressed to the buyers transactions.

I have done numerous transactions with Mendoza and have always gotten a square deal.

The one time I received a product I was not happy with (it was damaged in transit) Mendoza immediately offered me a full refund or a 50% discount (I chose the discount).

I am also one of the sellers that Mendoza has bought from and then resold at a handsome profit.

Oh well, shame on me for not knowing my product.

On the other hand, I've made a nice income reselling auctions also.

In retrospect, after dealing with ever magic dealer under the sun for the past 30+ years, Mendoza is the only one in the lot that I have not had a single issue with.

John- Your one NEG doesnt matter in the least to your customers. Anyone with a lick of Ebay experience Knows Tabitha/Superuser/whoever for exactly what she is like, because we have had experience with similar people. My one neg came when the buyer immediately demanded a 50% discount including shipping or he'd neg me.

Nail it to my chest. I wear it proudly and he's off Ebay.

Your customers and friends know you, know your processes and procedures, know how reliable you are, and don't care about ole whatzhername.

And now she's just baiting with her responses, very transparent to readers.

Re: The Promised eBay Negative Feedback Post

I would like to chime in on this one.

First, Tavita's feedback pretty much speaks for itself. Also I'm wondering why after this fiasco she would change her ebay user name? Did she think this would all go away by doing so?

Second, over the past 5 years John and I have done business both buying and selling to each other. John has the patience of a Saint and is NEVER rude, I have sent John items that either was not exactly what he was looking for or were damaged in transit. John has always been understanding and we've always worked things out and been happy doing business together.

Tavita appears to be a regular individual not a huge company, what the heck is this restocking fee? I mean how hard would it be to put it back in the trash can it probally came out of? Had John filed a complaint with Paypal as Item Not as Described, Tavita would have had to pay John back in full less his return shipping. Restock fee? Pffffft.

The negative John recieved will be shrugged off by all buyers and bidders, however the negative that Tavita has recieved will affect her auctions, if anyone that knows John would even bid on any of her trash again, I know I sure won't.
